Welcome to the WRX 300 Owners Club

WRX 300 Owners Club Facebook Group (New)

Welcome to the unofficial Subaru Impreza WRX 300 owners club and register. 365 recently confirmed examples are known to have been produced and released to the public between late 2004 and early 2005. Since Subaru did not officially number any of the WRX 300s, in-depth research has been undertaken to accurately number each example produced by Subaru. I have kindly been given access to each and every VIN corresponding to every WRX 300 produced, and extensively collated each VIN into a numerical order within a database kindly provided by Justin Starr. This extensive database lists each WRX 300 VIN, and its corresponding edition number up to 365. There has been past confusion regarding total build numbers, namely between 340 and 365 examples produced, but it is now definitively correct to state that 365 models were officially produced. More information regarding this can be obtained upon request. It may seem shocking to hear that 365 examples were produced of a car named after the number 300, but we believe Subaru may have simply largely over-produced the WRX 300, and intentionally abstained from numbering them due to this mistake. But, ultimately we will never truly know the circumstances surrounding this limited edition WRX.

Some history on the WRX 300. Subaru UK released this Blobeye limited edition WRX in 2005, the WRX 300. This limited edition WRX boasted a Prodrive Performance Pack from factory (included in the on the road price), making it at that time, cheaper to buy a WRX 300 with the PPP included than to buy a standard WRX and opt for the PPP as an extra. The WRX 300 came with a rear-end Limited Slip Differential. The WRX 300 also only came in WR Blue (02C), featured unique gold 17 inch WRX wheels, special Subaru branded red calipers on front and rear, blue STI-esque door cards, unique branded SWRT bucket seats, a bespoke aluminium gear knob, SWRT branded front fog lamp covers, WRX 300 floor mats and WRX 300 branding on the sides and rear. Optional extras included a gold 18 inch Prodrive PFF7 wheel and tyre package, performance suspension pack, beefy brake upgrade pack and a special edition rear spoiler.

Due to the WRX 300 being in such limited numbers from factory I assume only a lucky few received the opportunity to purchase such a unique Impreza like this for a price cheaper than a regular WRX with a PPP as an optional extra.
